1. Who provides Passpip

The Passpip app for Germany and this website are provided by Added before launch (details in theimprint). By using the app you accept these terms.

2. What Passpip is, and what it is not

  • Passpip helps you prepare for the “Leben in Deutschland” test and the German citizenship test (Einbürgerungstest).
  • Passpip is not affiliated with BAMF or any other government body, and it is not the real test.
  • Mock exams and the readiness score are practice tools. They are not certificates and do not guarantee that you will pass.

3. The questions and explanations

The questions and answer options come from the official BAMF catalogue. The correct answers follow that catalogue, even when real life has changed since it was published, because the test expects the catalogue’s answer. Explanations and translations are written by Passpip with the help of AI and checked against the sources named under them. They can still contain mistakes: please use “Report a problem” in the app, and see the list of corrections onAbout the questions.

4. Free use and the Pass Pack

  • You can use Passpip for free: all questions with the correct answers, 50 questions with explanations, and 1 mock exam a day.
  • The Pass Pack is a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play, not a subscription. It unlocks every explanation and unlimited mock exams in the Germany app for the Google account you bought it with, and you can restore it on another phone with the same account.
  • Google Play shows the final price, takes the payment and handles refunds under its own refund rules.
  • If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights stay unaffected.

5. Optional ad videos

Free users can choose to watch a short ad video for an extra mock exam. Watching is always optional and is never shown to Pass Pack owners.

6. Fair use

Please don’t copy Passpip’s explanations, translations or designs to publish or sell them, and don’t try to bypass the Pass Pack. The official BAMF question texts themselves are free to use.

7. Changes and availability

We keep improving the app and its content, for example when BAMF publishes a new catalogue. We may change features, and we cannot promise that the app or this website will always be available.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the damage that was foreseeable when you started using the app. Liability under mandatory law, such as product liability law, is not affected.

9. Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
